PICK A BOOK LAUNCHES OFFICIALLY AS SRI LANKA'S NUMBER ONE UNIQUE BOOK CLUB

After months of operating on a test mode, Pick a Book takes great pride in officially launching the concept in Sri Lanka. We hope to bring an inspired change among Sri Lankans and motivate them to start reading. We are also looking towards building a stronger community for book lovers while also inspiring non-readers to become avid readers which has been our core purpose through the launch of Pick a Book

The launch, which was held at Cinnamon Grand on the 22nd of February 2020, saw the installation of three unique clubs with the induction of 60 members. Pick a Book will take its juncture in 3 unique spots – ‘The Office – Colombo 07, ‘Home Tree Co – Working’ and ‘The Embazzy’. These 3 clubs are now open to the citizens of Sri Lanka as a platform to read, inspire and meet link minded people.

The hugely successful event saw the founder of Pick a Book, Ragulan Tharmakulasingam presenting the book Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus followed by a session by a 15 year old member Sehandu Damsath on the book Beyond the Power of Your Subconscious Mind. The official Pick a Book launch was graced by readers, avid book readers as well as inspiring non-readers who took a keen interest in the event.

With the launch, Pick a Book hopes to further the love of reading in every corner of Sri Lanka. This milestone has proved to us, beyond a doubt, that the love for books is truly alive as well as and we thank each and everyone one of you who has been supporting us throughout our journey
